Laverne Arnold

LaVerne Arnold, age 98, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on May 20, 1924 to Henry and Mrytle Lowery (nee Stinson).

LaVerne was married to Robert Arnold for 46 years. LaVerne enjoyed designing and making clothes for herself, her daughters and her Barbie dolls. She made Cabbage Patch Dolls. She loved gardening, traveling, and eating her sweets. LaVerne was a wonderful cook and loved to entertain. She enjoyed watching Cardinal's baseball games.

LaVerne is survived by her daughters, Linda M. (Thomas) Ley, Sandra L. Arnold, Karan L. Arnold; her grandchildren, Daneal (Gary) Kennon, Sara (Bernd) Kollmann, Clinton Ley, Denise Sullivan, and Brian Abbey (Kris Munneoka-Abby); 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Arnold; her father, Henry Lowery; her mother, Mrytle Lowery; her grandson, Nathan Ley; and her sister, Mary (L.D.) Root.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will continue from 9:30 until 10:00 am with a service to follow at 10:00 am all on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Newcomer, St. Peters Chapel.
