Abbie Strauss, age 88, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. She was born in Ferguson, Missouri on December 6, 1933 to Rupert and Bertha Hafner (nee Rode).
Adele is survived by her children Sandra (David Arnold) Strauss, Richard Strauss, Sharon Stahlschmidt, and Gary (Lynn) Strauss; grandchildren Erin Stahlschmidt, Cary Stahlschmidt, Ryan Stahlschmidt, and Charles Strauss. Also survived by other family and many friends from her years working for ACF Industries, and friends from her childrens' athletic endeavors. She was also a parishioner of St. Cletus Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Strauss; parents Rupert and Bertha Hafner; sisters Martha Steltges, Mary Tebeau, and Helen Zykan; and brothers Maximillian Hafner, Anthony Hafner, and William Hafner.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Abbie's honor to the ASPCA or the Humane Society of Missouri.
