Agatha Myrene Long, age 82, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 18, 1939 to Geoffrey and Gladys Swadley.
Agatha earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Truman University in 1962. She married Marion Eugene Long on May 31st, 1969. Education was very important to Agatha. She taught her entire life whether it was elementary art, early childhood, Sunday School, her children or grandchildren. She was very involved in her church, especially mission focused activities. Operation Christmas Child was a particular passion of hers. Agatha enjoyed reading, travel, creating and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her steadfast love and strong faith will be missed.
Agatha is survived by her Daughter, Amy B (David) Miller and Son, Adam C. Long; Grandchildren, Carson (Joanna) Miller, Gage Miller, Addison Long; Step-Daughter, Gail (Jeff) Clements, Step-Daughter, Genette (John) Sappington; 2 Nieces; 5 Step-Grandchildren; 9 Step-Great Grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Geoffrey S. Swadley and Gladys M. Miller; Husband, Marion Eugene Long and Sister, Eleanor Sweet.
