Alan Leon Atnip

Alan Leon Atnip, age 62, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020.
He was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on December 10, 1957 to Alva and Elsie Atnip (nee Fagg).

Alan was a loving father and devoted grandfather. He spent much of his free time with his grandchildren. He loved spending time outdoors, was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and riding on his Harley. During his career he worked as a mechanic and later as a foreman at Nike. He always enjoyed a great meal, a good conversation and cooking for his family. He also faithfully volunteered at a local food pantry.

Alan is survived by his mother, Elsie Atnip; his daughter, Amanda, and husband ,Thad Thurman; and son, Taylor Atnip. He was also survived by seven grandchildren: Nolan, Justin, & Michael Atnip and Lillian, Allison, Eli & Grant Thurman. He will be dearly missed by countless other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alva Atnip; son, Alan Atnip; and grandson, Garrett Atnip.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home in St Peters, MO.
Funeral ceremony will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Funeral and graveside service will also be held at Shiloh Church at 10:30 am on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Greenville, MO.
