Alan Dale Scherffius, age 56, of Old Monroe, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 3, 1961 to Ralph and Rita Scherffius (nee Kinder).
Alan was a lifetime master mechanic at his father's garage, Ralph's Auto Repair, located in Old Monroe, Mo. He was a loving father and grandfather, an accomplished artist, loved gardening, woodworking and the culinary arts.
Alan is survived by his Daughter Heather Scherffius and her Fiance' Scott Dodson, his Father Ralph Scherffius and, Sister Lisa Gail Becker, and two Granddaughters, Kayla Scherffius and Kendra Martin. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Rita Scherffius.
A funeral service will be 5:00 pm Monday, October 9, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. The family will receive friends prior to services from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm and will break bread following the service, at Newcomer Funeral Home.
