Alicia Luft, age 69, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021. She was born in Keokuk, Iowa on November 9, 1952 to Waldo and E. Louise Luft (nee Matice).
Alicia grew up on a farm in West-Central Illinois. She graduated from Warsaw High School, Warsaw, IL in 1970. She graduated from Robert Morris College in Carthage, IL in 1984. Alicia spent many years working in Electronic Health Records as a trainer and support associate. She semi-retired in 2019, working part time at Sears in St. Peters, MO as a sales associate until the store closed. Most recently she worked at Bed, Bath & Beyond in St. Peters, MO but chose to fully retire the first of October this year. Alicia loved her family deeply. She was a very hard working, kind and generous person. Her passion was for animals, and she gave generously to several animal rescue groups. Her dog Ginger was her whole life.
Alicia is survived by her sister, Angela (Terry) Schnack of Burlington, Iowa; her nephew, Jason (Alyssa) Twitchell of Keokuk, Iowa, IL; two great nephews, Aiden and Julian Twitchell of Keokuk, Iowa; her uncle, Ray Schilson of Jacksonville, FL; her beloved dog, Ginger; her best friend of more than 40 years, Chris Kientzle of Quincy and many other step-family members, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waldo and E. Louise Luft.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
