Amy Pruett

Amy Pruett, a dearly beloved sister and aunt, departed this world peacefully on October 29, 2024, in Troy, Missouri, surrounded by the warmth of her family and the embrace of prayer. Born on August 28, 1979, in the charming town of Charleston, Illinois, Amy graced our lives with her abundant joyfulness, laughter, and profound love, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Amy was a beacon of light, a vibrant spirit whose laughter could fill a room and whose kindness could mend the heaviest of hearts. She possessed an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of moments, reminding those around her to appreciate life’s little wonders. Her presence was a gift, one that will be cherished by her beloved family and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Michael (Melisa) Pruett and Matthew (Korren) Pruett, who looked up to her as a pillar of strength and compassion. As an aunt, she took tremendous joy in the lives of her nieces and nephew—Maxwell, Emma, and Ava Pruett—showering them with love and encouragement, and filling their lives with playful memories that will forever remain etched in their hearts.

Amy's legacy extends beyond the immediate family, reaching to her uncles, Craig (Allison) Pruett and John Durbin, who share fond memories of her warmth. In the void left by her passing, they, along with her entire family, will carry forward the light she so freely shared.

In her life, Amy faced challenges with grace, standing tall through adversity, inspired in part by the cherished memory of her parents, the late Leon and Judith Pruett, whose influence shaped her into the extraordinary person she was. Their love and guidance found expression through her actions, her laughter, and every moment of joy she imparted to others.
