Angelo Puricelli, age 21, lost his lifelong battle with Muscular Dystrophy on July 3, 2021. Known to everyone as AJ, he was born in Kursk, Russia on September 8, 1999. He was the beloved son of John Puricelli and Karen Guccione, who adopted AJ in March of 2002.
AJ is a proud graduate of Neuwoehner High School (class of 2021). He loved nothing better than to watch Nascar, especially while he snacked on salami, olives, and Slim Jim's. He loved to tell stories, especially stories about Nascar. To know AJ would be to know an extremely sweet little boy who loved his family, loved his dogs, and really loved to eat Italian food, especially his Grandfather's Cheesy Rice.
AJ had large and loud Italian family. He leaves his father John Puricelli, sister Rachel Puricelli, brother John "Jack" Puricelli and sister Katherine "Kate" Puricelli of St. Louis; his Grandmother Sharon Puricelli "Grandma Celli" and Ed Thornton of Ballwin; his Aunt Carol Rhodes of Eureka, Cousin Kaitlin Thorson (Doug) and baby Blake Thorson of Ballwin, and Cousin Maura Rhodes of Eureka; Aunt Patti Puricelli (Jay Sanko), Cousins Ryan Porter and Allison Porter of Overland Park, KS; Grandfather Joseph Guccione Sr, "Papa Joe" of St. Peters, Uncle Joseph "Joe" Guccione Jr (Kim) of O'Fallon, Cousin Ryan Guccione (Jorie) of O'Fallon, and Cousin Abby (Nate) Williams and baby Hadley of O'Fallon; Aunt Chris Guccione of Hazelwood, Cousin Laura (Jacob) Hobbs of Marine, IL; and Cousin Eric Guccione of Hazelwood; and finally, his loyal puppies "Dutch" and "Cici".
AJ will be welcomed into Heaven by his Mother Karen Guccione, Grandmother Geraldine Guccione, and Grandfather John Angelo Puricelli.
