Anita Rosenthal, age 65, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in St Louis, Missouri on July 9, 1956 to Harry and Roslyn Katz (nee Schear).
Anita loved life. She was full of energy, and loved cooking and entertaining for friends and family. Anita was married to her husband, John, for 27 loving years. Together they enjoyed traveling, living in Florida and Arizona with their precious Schnauzers. Anita was so happy to return to Saint Louis three years ago to be with her family. Her friends and family were thrilled to have her back in Saint Louis. Throughout the last year, Anita fought a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She never gave up hope. Anita will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.

Anita is survived by her husband, John L. Rosenthal; her mother, Roslyn Katz; her sisters, Judith F. Katz and Ilene (Terry) Bolin; her niece, Alexis D. Bolin; and her nephew, Clayton C. Bolin. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry A. Katz.
A funeral service will take place at 3:00 pm until 3:30 pm with a visitation to follow from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm, both on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, West County Chapel, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017. Interment will be private.
