Ann Canedy, age 78, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born in Evanston, Illinois on January 24, 1940 to the late George and Alice Welter (nee Muno).
Early in life, Ann taught at Josephinum High School in Chicago, Illinois where she met the love of her life, Conde Canedy. They married on June 11, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. Their lives together took them from Chicago, Illinois through Lockport, Illinois to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and ending in St. Peters, Missouri. She worked as a clerk with St. Paul Insurance Company in St. Louis, until her retirement after 17 years.
Ann was an avid player of games of all types. She loved being around her family and watching her grandchildren in all of their activities. In retirement, Ann enjoyed traveling with Conde and was very active with her parish, All Saints Catholic Church in St. Peters.
Ann is survived by her Loving husband, Conde Canedy, Daughter, Joanne M. (Walter) Stopke, Son, Bill (Francesca) Canedy, Cherished Grandmother of Jamie Stopke, Erin Stopke, Kasie Stopke, Jonathan (Sarah) Canedy, Jordan Francis, Crystal (Stephen) Striepe, Bailey Canedy, Mitchell Francis. She was truly loved and will be greatly missed by a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Alice Welter, Father, George Welter, Brother, Donald Welter, and Four Sisters, Joanne Martin, Mary Erpelding, Helen Hearity and Alice McKiernan.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376.
A Second Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 9:00 am until 9:45 am with a Mass to immediately follow at 9:45 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 5 McMenamy Rd, St. Peters, MO 63376.
Interment will follow after Mass at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
