Anna (Toni) P. Smith, age 97, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away Monday, March 18, 2019. She was born in St. Charles County Missouri on December 3, 1921 to the late Anthony Albert and Sarah Margaret (nee Conoyer) Rufkahr.
Anna (Toni) was immensely loved by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. Her loving touch extended to everyone she met. Grandma was dearly devoted to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. With each generation she would spoil, hug, encourage, and love each child in that tender "grandma" way.
She thoroughly enjoyed her family reunions and gathering with all her friends to recount the many "riveting tales" of nearly one hundred years she was blessed by The Lord to be with us.
Anna (Toni) was the first female athlete elected into the St. Charles County Sports Hall of Fame. She was a brief member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Grandma loved to fish, watch baseball games, Hallmark shows, and interact everyday with family and friends.
Anna (Toni) is survived by Roger Willbrand, son in law; grandchildren Bradley (April) Willbrand, Judith (Steve) Grassmuck, Susan (Ken) Vansickle; great grandchildren Amanda (Cody) Zust, Erica (Dan) Conley, Rachael (Spencer) Venetta, Elizabeth Glastetter, Joshua Willbrand; great-great grandchildren Gage Zust, Ayden Zust, Sawyer Conley, and Abigail Conley.
She was preceded into death by dearly loved daughter Dorothy (nee Pennington) Willbrand, and siblings Anthony Rufkahr, Norbert Rufkahr, Leo Rufkahr, John Rufkahr, Catherine (nee Rufkahr) Harris, Margaret (nee Rufkahr) Steimel, and Bernard Rufkahr.
