Anne "Betsy" Scherer

Anne Elizabeth Scherer, age 67, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, in Saint Peters, Missouri. She was born in Buffalo, New York on April 29, 1956, to Vincent and Sarah Brown (nee Norwalk).

Anne and Jim were married for 46 years. They had eight children along with twelve grandchildren. Anne was a nurse specializing in geriatric care for over 25 years. Anne was a devout Catholic and many people were strengthened in their faith through her quiet example.

Anne is survived by her Husband, James Scherer; her sons, James L. (Amy) Scherer Jr., and Patrick J. Scherer; her daughters, Erin E. (Beau) Goss, Mary S. (Paul) Miller, Kathleen C. Scherer, Elizabeth A. (Christopher) Rudolph, Brigid O. (Emmett) Wilmes, and Emma M. (Kyle) Morton; her grandchildren, Gianna Goss, Brendan Goss, Aidan Goss, Mary Helen Goss, Desmond Goss, John Paul "Jack" Miller, Eleanor Miller, James Miller, Ezra Rudolph, and Zelie Wilmes; and her brothers, Vincent "Joe" (Anne) Brown III, Brendan (Glenda) Brown, Patrick (Kelly) Brown, Bernard "Gipper" Brown, David Brown, Ian (Susan) Brown; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vincent Joseph Brown, Jr; her mother, Sarah Sawyer Brown; her daughter-in-law, Mary Scherer; and her grandchildren, Francis Goss, Gabriel Goss, Angelus Goss, Katherine Wilmes, Joseph Wilmes, Mary Wilmes.
