Anthony James

Anthony David James Sr. , age 62, of O"Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in O"Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Pittsburgh,PA on September 11, 1955 to the union of John Andrew and Esther Elizabeth James (Horton ). They preceded him in death.

During his formative years he attended Taylor Allderdice HighSchool where he was the quarterback for the football team. After high school he attended Bethune Cookman University, Daytona Beach Florida where he received a bachelors degree in Business Administration and became a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC. After graduation he worked with Atlanta Life Insurance Company. He was also the project manager for the building of retail establishments. Other organizations he worked with are: Office Depot, R J Reynolds and Nationwide Insurance.

He united with the Church on the Rock in St. Peters Missouri under the pastorate of Rev. David Blunt. His hobbies included carpentry, building and architecture and his pets: including his saltwater fish and beloved German Shepherds: Keanu and Ava.

In 1977 Anthony met the love of his life in Pittsburgh, PA, Sheila Paul. They instantly fell in love and were married on November 22, 1982.

On May 22, 2018 Anthony went home to glory at 2:00 am at his home peacefully. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife: Sheila, mother: Marlene, sons: Kalil, Anthony Jr. and Aaron, grandsons: Ezra and Elion, his beloved dogs: Keanu and Ava and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended friends along with all those whose lives he touched.

Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with Rev. Dr Phoenix Barnes from the Southern Missionary Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel.
