Anthony Douglas Jones, age 41, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on November 19, 1981 to George and Sharon Jones (nee Franklin).
Anthony is survived by his mother, Sharon Regnier; father, George Jones; three sisters, Angie (Alan) Hsieh, Nicole (Matt) Tesreau, Rachel Carlton; brother, Michael (Francesseca) Cookson; son, Tobie Dickerson; daughter, Kaylen McGroarty-Jones; two nieces, Vivienne Comte and Lorelai Tesreau; four nephews, Gavin Tesreau, Winston Hsieh, Brayden Brandt, and Hudson Brandt. Also survived by his partner, Melissa Newton; best friend, Chris Bohling (Thank you for being there when we weren't); his beloved cat, K.D., and many friends and other relatives.
Anthony's love of cars led him to a career as a diesel mechanic at Jack Cooper Transport. His love of tattoos, shoes, hoodies, baseball caps, candy, cigarettes, guns, rock and roll, and women have left a long lasting impression on his family and friends. Anthony was the biggest pain in the ass, very stubborn, sarcastic, obstinate, fun loving jerk, but he was ours, and we loved him in spite of it. He will be greatly missed by his family and closest friends.
