Antonio "Tony" Veal, age 64, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on January 24, 1959 to Joseph and Rosie.
Tony was the perfect example of the "work hard, play hard" philosophy. He was the first person to come to the aid of a friend or family member in need. Whether it was repairing something broken, helping move furniture, or ensuring a pet is cared for, he never turned down an opportunity to jump into action to help a friend or family member. He checked in on his family, especially his many siblings often, and would hop on a plane at a moment's notice to be by a family member's side in a time of need.
However, once the work was done, Tony was the life of the party. He loved to dance and celebrate any chance he got. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings at his home or in the park. His music was loud and his signature dance moves were impressive. Tony held the special confidence to dance whenever, even if no one else was dancing. He exuded a joy while celebrating that was absolutely contagious.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Lisa Higgins, his children, Antonio (Kimberly) Veal, Joshua Camron Veal, and Kamia Higgins; his grandchildren, Anthony Veal and Hailey Veal; his sisters, Marie (John) Fultz, Marilyn Veal-Briscoe; and his brothers, Joseph Veal, John (Lynnette) Veal, Lonnie (Judy) Veal, Lionel (Patricia) Veal, Steven Veal, twin brother Angelo Veal, and Kennedy (Minh) Veal. He will be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces, and other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stone; his mother, Rosie Veal; his son, Jason Veal; his sister, Rosie Williams, and his brother-in-law, Glen Briscoe.
Services will be private
In Tony's memory, please consider finding a moment to be of service to another, or turn up the music and dance like no one is watching.
