Barbara Lee Hogan (nee Conboy), age 83, of St. Charles, Missouri went to be with our Lord on November 9, 2020.
She was born in St. Louis on October 17, 1937 to William Edward and Naoma Christine Conboy (nee Kelley). Beloved wife of Gerard "Jerry" C. Hogan of whom they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Loving mother of the late Timothy S. (Joni) Hogan, Kelley L. (Michael) McDonald, Patrick M. (Tracey) Hogan, Lynn M. (Kevin) Marstall.
Blessed Grammy of Kyle, Kristen, and Jered Hogan, McKenzie and the late Sean McDonald, Courtney (Andrew) Ferguson, Joshuah and Abigale Hogan, Madilynn and Molly Marstall.
She was proceeded in death by her parents William and Naoma Conboy (nee Kelley), her sister Patricia (Irvin) Meyer, her brother William (survived by Georgianna) Conboy.
Dearest aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Barb's faith in God and her family was most important in her life. Barb participated in her children's activities where she spent countless hours volunteering at St. Mary's School in Bridgeton. She continued to stay a very involved parishioner at Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish and helped start the Blessed Teresa Outreach program.
Early on, Barb enjoyed spending time at the river with family and friends. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafting – which is amazing considering she had rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for the last 60 years of her life. She had a strong spirit and never gave up. She had a big heart and was a loyal friend. She was always doing for others – even at times she could hardly help herself, she would find the strength through God to care for others.
She made all of our friends feel like family. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best birthday parties. Growing up on Christmas day, she made sure there were so many presents you could barely see the tree.
She will always be remembered for all her suffering, never complaining and offering it up to God for the souls in purgatory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service at jacares.org or a mass offered in her memory.
