Benjamin Richard Dasal

February 13, 1960 — October 17, 2022

Beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, Benjamin Richard Dasal, passed from this world into everlasting life to be with his Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on October 17, 2022, at the age of 62.

The youngest son of Domingo & Eloise Dasal, Ben was born into a family of 5 brothers with the eldest son being 16 years older. His brothers Ramon, Bob, Vince, Pickett, and Phil have memories of Ben's life that bring smiles to their faces and cherished brotherly thoughts.

Ben's adventures in life began as a newborn baby in Troy, MO and eventually took him through his Elementary, Junior High, and High School years in Wentzville Public Schools. Upon graduation in 1978, Ben joined the United States Navy and served as an Air Traffic Controller, on the USS John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier. His world travels and seaman experiences included crossing the Equator and going through the time-honored transformation ceremony from slimy Pollywog to trusty Shellback.

In the latter part of his USN military service Ben met Brenda Shank, the girl he saw in church, and fell in love. They married and have been together for 39 years creating a family that includes son Tyler Dasal and wife Whitney; daughter Kristin and husband Daniel Collier; 7 grandchildren Liam, Arianna, Caleb, Evelyn, Adelaide, Gabriel, and Anthony. The joy Ben & Brenda's children and grandchildren brought to his life was immeasurable.

As a civilian Ben worked in Nursing Home Administration and for PPG. His last position was as a Regional Manager at National Church Residences.
His parents, Eloise & Domingo, as well as two of his brothers, Bob & Pickett, preceded him in passing away.

His brothers and their wives Ramon & Kathleen, Bob & Barbara, Vince, Sandy, Pickett & Nelda, Phil & Suzy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Georgia relatives and his church family of 37 years will always have their memories of Ben and his impact on their lives.

Ben lived life as summarized in 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5:16-18. "Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus." Despite many health issues, he remained faithful to the God he loved, never complained, and waited patiently for God to call him home.

In lieu of flowers and donations, both can be sent to First Baptist Church O'Fallon, with Memorial donations designated towards missions at the church.
