Benjamin Robert "Bob" Quinlan, age 79, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in St. Louis County, Missouri. He was Fortified with The Holy Mother Church. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 2, 1937 to Benjamin and Mary Quinlan (nee Rabbitt).
Bob was a Supervisor & Department Head with Bristol Myers/Squibb for 38 years, retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1960-1962. On November 9, 1963 he married the former Gerry Jacquemin in St. Louis. Bob loved baseball and soccer, but his biggest joy was his family and for helping those who couldn't help themselves, especially with his dear friend Fr. Tom Bryon founder of Caritas Connections, whose motto is "Those who have, with those who need."
Bob is survived by his Wife, Gerry of Saint Charles, MO, Daughters, Colleen Quinlan of St. Charles, MO, Beth (Patrick) Eberhard of St. Peters, MO, and Christine Quinlan-Fuller of St. Charles, MO; 10 Grandchildren, (Meghan & Matthew Anderson, Mikey Isaak, Kyle Fuller, Kate & Ben Eberhard, Erin, Kasey, Kelly, & Gregory Van Pelt), 4 Great-grandchildren, (Connor Scotti, Miyah & Leah Canada, & Mason Van Pelt) and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his Sister, Maureen Esser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday June 6, 2016 at Sts. Joachim and Ann Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday June 5, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters MO 63376. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
