Bettie Jo Seward, age 90, of Overland, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on June 8, 1929 to Elmer and Dortha Aslin (nee Dunn).
Bettie was a generous person with a loving spirit. She enjoyed going to her church, gospel sings, and watching football, but she loved her family and grandchildren. She made friends easily, touched the hearts of many and will be missed by all who loved her.
Bettie is survived by her daughters, Jo Ann Barnard of Overland, MO, and Sharon Lee Kelley of O Fallon, MO, her son, Marion John Seward (Fran) of Florissant, MO, a sister Mary Lou Stanfill (Roy), seven grandchildren: Heather, Sean, Jamie, Curtis, Ashley, Kelly, and Kristy, fifteen great grandchildren: James, Joel, Jared, Calin, Evan, Masin, Landon, Jacksin, Karis, Liliana, Lucas, Lincoln, Alivia, McKayla and Melody, and a host of other family members, a dear friend Glenn Brooks and many other friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Edward Seward, two sons; Curtis Dean Scowden, and Donald Mack Scowden, her parents: Elmer and Dortha Aslin; and a sister Helen Warren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home St Peters, MO. Funeral services will start at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow at St Charles Memorial Gardens.
