Betty Duke

Betty Duke, nee Whitehead, born on August 8, 1937, in St. Louis County, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 21 2024, in O'Fallon, Missouri. Throughout her life, Betty was known for her warm spirit and unwavering devotion to her children and family.

Betty cherished her time spent traveling with her husband, Ray Duke, creating memories that would last a lifetime. She was a loving mother to her children, Greg Duke, Joy Duke-Morrison,  Douglas Duke, Rhonda Duke-Dixon, and Steve (Loan) Duke. Additionally, she welcomed multiple foster children into her home, imparting her love and nurturing spirit to countless young lives.

Betty's legacy lives on through her extensive family, including her 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense joy and pride throughout her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill (Carole) Whitehead and Tom (Madeline) Whitehead, who will remember her fondly.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Loy "Wimpy" Whitehead and Nell Whitehead (nee McQuiston), as well as her son Douglas "Woody" Duke and daughter Rhonda Duke-Dixon, who all remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376, on September 29, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on September 30, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM on September 30, 2024, at the same location.

Betty Duke will be remembered for her kindness, her passion for family, and her genuine love for life. Her memory will forever be a guiding light for her loved ones.
