Betty Kohring, age 89, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on January 16, 1931 to Ludwig and Elizabeth Hafner (nee Holweck).
Betty was an angel here on Earth to everyone. She loved her family, life and God. Betty prayed the Rosary every night for our entire family and anyone else who needed a prayer. She was everyone's friend, mother and grandma. Betty opened her heart, home and arms to so many, and even volunteered at nursing homes and hospitals up to the age of 85. We will never forget her warmth, talents and humor. She did all with grace and style. Betty was genuinely a true gift from God.
Betty is survived by her children, Donna M. (Dennis) Whitehead, Susan E. (James) Barnes, Carol A. (Wayne) Werle, and Mark J. Kohring; her grandchildren, Natalie L. Whitehead, Keith W. (Jackie) Whitehead, Jamie L. (Jeff) Lester, Andrew W. (Jennifer) Barnes, Cody J. Lester, Russell P. Werle (Angela Sims), Douglas A. (Whitney) Werle, Nicholas R. (Suzanne) Werle, Curtis M. (Alyssa) Werle, Ryan W. Kohring, and Allyson E. Kohring; and her great-grandchildren, Liam S. Whitehead, Harper J Whitehead, Chloe E. Lester, Quinn A. Lester, Mason A. Barnes, Brody A. Barnes, Journee F. Barnes, Landon W. Dakan, Connor P. Werle, Reece M. Werle, Landen A. Werle, Ryder D. Werle, Blaise S. Werle, Audrey E. Werle, Hayden N. Werle, Kensie A. Werle, Wyatt N. Werle, Abel M. Werle, and Knox C. Werle. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee F. Kohring; and her parents, Ludwig G. P. and Elizabeth M. Hafner.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm with a funeral mass to follow at 12:00 pm both on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St Patrick Catholic Church, 405 S Church St, Wentzville, MO 63385. Interment will follow at Our Lady Catholic Cemetery.
