Bonnie June Settlemeyer, age 77, of Wildwood, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 22, 1943 to Jerrold and Opal June Gilbert (nee Archbold).
Bonnie enjoyed singing, cooking and gardening. Her hobby passions were creating crafts and anything to do with beautiful butterflies. Even with all of her interests and joys, her greatest enjoyment came from the time she was able to spend with her children and her grandchildren. She taught each of them how to cross stitch, make and paint wooden crafts, bake cookies and grow flowers. In turn, they enjoyed teaching her how to use her cell phone and her computer. As you look through the family photo album, you'll see many pictures of Bonnie in a butterfly tee shirt and one or more of "her girls" engaged in a new project.
Bonnie was a member of Living Word UMC and active in the Mary Martha Circle there. She had been a participating member of the Eighth Notes singing group for over 25 years.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Wayne Settlemeyer; her daughters, Krista (Mark) Zahner, Kelly (John) Eden, and Shari Settlemeyer; her granddaughters, Danielle (Zach) Cunningham, Gabrielle (Kory) Kohlmann, Ashley (Austin) Smith, and Courtney Eden; her great-granddaughter, Lettie June Smith; her brother, Mart (Bobbie) Gilbert, and her sister-in-law, Lois Settlemeyer. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerrold and Opal June Gilbert.
A Celebration of Life is planned for March, 2021.
