Brenda Jannell Corrigan, age 76, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born in Brinktown, Missouri on July 17, 1946 to Vernon and Gladys Helton (nee Renfrow). She was married to John "Mike" Corrigan for 56 years.
Brenda was a dedicated servant for the people. She applied to her life the strong work ethic she learned being raised on a farm. She served as an Office Manager at the Harvester License Office for over 30 years and never let anyone pass through without helping them. She offered a smile to everyone and made their day brighter.
Brenda was an amazing mother and a second mother to anyone who needed one. She put everyone's needs before hers and was truly selfless. She was a devoted grandmother, her grandchildren were the true light of her life. She loved spending time with them and attending their various activities or taking them fishing. Brenda loved traveling "home" to the farm to visit her brother and sisters.
Brenda's amazing, strong spirit allowed her to beat lung cancer in 2006. She continued to endure and conquer more health battles in the 16 years following. She celebrated her success by attending the Lung Cancer Connection's annual event.
Brenda is survived by her Husband, John "Mike" Corrigan, Three Daughters, Amy (John) Benga, Abby (Nick King) Corrigan, Amber (Justin) Hayes; Grandchildren, Liz Benga, Aidan Hayes, Carter King, Gavin Hayes, A.J. Benga; Brother, Danny (Nancy) Helton; Three Sisters, Beth (Jim) Hill, Tammy (Brent Archdekin) Helton, Jayne (Denny) Williams; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Vernon Clay Helton; and Mother, Gladys Elizabeth Helton.
Visitation will be Monday. January 16, 2023 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will immediately follow at 6:00pm also at St. Peters Chapel. Interment will be at Vienna Public Cemetery the following Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 1:00pm.
