Bruce Edward Holm, age 71, of O'Fallon, Missouri (formerly Oklahoma City) passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 12, 1952 to Robert (Bob) and Madonna (Diane) Holm (nee Leforgee).
Bruce loved music. He played keyboards, accordian, and guitar, but his passion was playing the bass guitar. In the 1960's, he played the bass guitar in a local group known as The Saxophonics. Bruce graduated from Raytown South High School in 1970. He had many jobs in Kansas City including working at a music store and at Black & Veatch.
In the early 1990s, he moved to Oklahoma City and worked at The Horn Trader for over 30 years, becoming the store manager. He played various venues there with countless musicians and made many friends. His faith in God grew through the music he played at the South Lindsay Baptist Church. Throughout his life, he came to know many other musicians who further inspired him.
Bruce is survived by his, Mother, Diane Holm; Sister, Beverly (Gary) Thompson and a host of other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Evan Holm and his sister, Janet L. Holm.
A Celebration of Life tribute event will be held at the South Lindsay Baptist Church in Oklahoma City on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023 starting at 10:15 am.
