Carl Phillip Specking Sr., age 88, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away on January 22, 2019. . He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 15, 1930 to Harry Sr. and Manilla (Kruger) Specking.
He was married to Mary Louise O'Toole in October 1954 and would have been married for 65 yrs in October 2019. Carl had a passion for being with his wife and family of many years. He liked boating, running, and traveling. He completed 17 marathons after beginning his running career at age 50. His favorite quote: "And when I run I feel His purpose."
He was a member of the Galloping Gourmets, St. Louis Track Club, Senior Olympics, Golden Games, and Parkinson's Support Group. He served in the Air Force during in the Korean War.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Mary Specking (O'Toole), his parents Harry Sr. and Manilla Specking and siblings Robert Specking (Bob), Harry Specking Jr., Hazel Roeseler (Specking) and Russell Specking.
Carl is survived by his children; Nancy Specking, Karen (Roger) Dye, Carol (Matt) Hemker, Carl (Jeanne Haley) Specking Jr., and Patty (Dan) Hastings; grandchildren, Randy Dye, Cody Dye, Carl Specking III, Sarah Hastings, Nicole Hastings, and Conor Fellin; one great grandchild, Anakin Dye and a host of other family members and friends.
