Carole Ann Smith, 76, of Saint Louis, passed away on March 21, 2016 at Saint Louis University Hospital .

She was born on December 30, 1939 in Litchfield, Illinois to George and Ollie (Dixon) Duncan.

On October 26,1965 in Benld, Illinois, she married Glenn Smith, who survives.

Also surviving her are: her daughter, Janine Martens and husband, Kevin of O Fallon, MO; three grandchildren, Alaina Martens, Caden Martens and Elise Martens; one sister, Peggy Zarr of Benld, IL; and one brother, George Duncan of Scottsdale, AZ.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Dmytryk, and a brother, Ben Duncan.

Carole lived most of her life in St. Louis, Missouri and was a telephone operator for thirty years. She worked for Southwestern Bell, Christian Northeast Hospital, Barnes Hospital and DePaul Hospital.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2016, from 9:30 am. to 11:00 am. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Louis Peregrine Society, 2343 Hampton, St. Louis, MO 63139.
