Charles E. Barnes Sr.,

Charles Edward Barnes, age 84, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was born in Summersville, Missouri on September 24, 1939 to John and Blanche Barnes (nee Bailey).

Charles is survived by his wife, Margie Barnes; two sons, Charles E. Barnes, Jr., and Gregory A. (Sheri) Barnes; three grandchildren, Kayde (Jake) Werner, Meghan Barnes, and Lauren Barnes; great-grandchild, Landen Charles Wright; two brothers, John Henry (Shirley) Barnes, Jr., and Lyle (Linda) Barnes; two sisters, Helen (John) Summers and Elaine (Danny) Wright; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Blanche Barnes; sister, Juanita Manning; brother-in-law, Sonny Manning; and nephew, Jeff Manning.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel with a Funeral Ceremony immediately following at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 28, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Friends and family are invited to meet at the funeral home at 10 am on Friday, March 29 to gather and process to Jefferson Barracks, where Interment and Military Honors will take place.
