Charles Mispagel, age 87, of Dardenne Prairie, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Calloway Township, Missouri on January 29, 1937 to Joseph and Olinda Mispagel (nee Duello).
Charlie is survived by his wife, Sue Mispagel; sons, Mark (Kris) Mispagel, Tom (Diane) Mispagel, and Michael (Karen) Mispagel; daughter, Kathleen (Harvey) Newman; step-daughters, Cindy (the late Andy) Stowers and Debbie (Steve) Doerhoff; grandchildren, Claire (Nick) Trottier, Abigail Mispagel, Allison Mispagel, Nicholas Mispagel, Natalie Mispagel, Madeline Mispagel, Molly Mispagel, Maura Mispagel, Matthew Newman, Anna Newman, Steven (Alex) Stowers, Nathan Stowers, Megan Stowers, Caitlyn Stowers, Dominick Doerhoff, and Savannah Doerhoff; and great-grandchildren, Evie Stowers, Nora Trottier, and Andy Rose Stowers. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maureen Mispagel; father, Joseph Mispagel; mother, Olinda Mispagel; brothers, Alfred (Charlene) Mispagel, Ralph (Olga) Mispagel, and Joe (Sissy) Mispagel; and sisters, Dorothy (Alvin) Hollobek, Elvera (Richard) Mersmann, Lorraine (Jack) DeLong, and Radell (Andy) Steck.
Charlie was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church, where he was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. He enjoyed a 25 plus year career with Proctor & Gamble, retiring as a Gold Club Award recipient. Family was everything to Charlie, nothing gave him as much happiness as time spent with his beloved wife, Sue, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Charlie was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic Church (in the Chapel) on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Mass begins at 12:30 PM, doors to the church open at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlie's honor to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, or St. Joseph's Indian School (P.O. Box 326, Chamberlain, South Dakota, 57326).
