Charles Henry Parker, age 78, of Arnold, Missouri, passed away March 26th, 2018, at his home surrounded by those who loved him. He was born February 4th, 1940, in St. Charles, Missouri to Henry and Flossie (Kreder) Parker who were the owners of Parker Brothers Machine Shop in St. Charles. He was a graduate St. Charles High School and went on to graduate from the University of Rolla. Charles was a US Army veteran proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed the outdoors, caring for his many flowers, which included seasonal bulbs and wild hyacinths and many other beautiful blooms. Charles also enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Virginia "Jenny" Parker, a very special friend Sara Mitchell, and many extended family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Monday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive (636-875-1200), where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm. Officiating will be Deacon Tim Ward. Interment will follow at St. Charles Memorial Park with full Military Honors.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice nurses Donna Helbig and Carol Schlef and dear friends Sue, Ray and Jennie Crocker for the loving care and support they provided to Charles and his family during this difficult time.
It is also very important to share that Tim Ward and Roger Meador brought Charles to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior, and for this his family is eternally grateful.
