Chester "Chet" William Clay, Jr.

March 29, 1944-December 17, 2024

Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend; Chester William Clay, Jr., 80, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on December 17, 2024. Born on March 29, 1944, in Mingo County, West Virginia, cherished son of the late Chester William Clay and Edna Mae Clay (née Rutherford). 

He is survived by his three children, AnnMarie (Tim) Welker of Lake St Louis, Wesley Clay of Oregon and Kristina (Ted) Boehm of Lake St Louis. Chester was the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Timothy Welker, Jr.; Rebecca (Brandon) Micheletti; Elizabeth Welker; Clayton Boehm; Courtney Boehm; and Carlie Boehm. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Henry, Ruby, and Josie. 

Chester is also survived by his loving siblings: Bonnie (Harlow) Faulkner of Ohio, Karen (Gerald) Fadley of Ohio,  Kathyrn Evans of West Virginia, and Darlene Taylor of Ohio. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Clay of Ohio, James Clay of Florida, Robert Clay of Ohio, Curtis Clay of West Virginia, Gay Salmons of Indiana, Ruth Stacey of Kentucky and Doreen Talkington of Ohio. 

Per Chester’s wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in the memories and love he shared throughout his life.
