Chris Alan Stoewsand

Chris Alan Stoewsand, born on December 25, 1961, in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, passed away in St. Peters, Missouri, on November 19, 2024. He was a man whose life was characterized by a passion for adventure and an unyielding love for his family.

Chris proudly earned his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. Throughout his life, Chris found solace in fishing, snorkeling, sailing, and scuba diving. His adventures often led him to the idyllic shores of the Caribbean, where the sun-drenched days mirrored his vibrant spirit.

He is survived by his wife, Lauri Gray-Stoewsand, with whom he shared countless cherished memories; his daughter, Katelyn Stoewsand; and his bonus daughter, Emily Peirce. Chris took immense pride in his family, and his legacy will live on through them. He also leaves behind his dear niece, Shannon Price, along with his great-nephews, Wesley and Jamison.

Chris was predeceased by his father, Ed Stoewsand; his mother, Jane Stoewsand; his brother, Cory Stoewsand; and his nephew, Sean Stoewsand. Each of these losses left indelible marks on his heart, a testament to the strength of familial bonds he deeply valued.

In honor of Chris's life, a visitation will be held on November 25, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, beginning at 10:00 AM, culminating in a funeral service set to start at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Ste Philippine Cemetery in Saint Charles at 12:00 PM.

Chris Alan Stoewsand will be remembered not only for his manifold adventures and passion for life but also for the love he cultivated within his family, forever leaving a legacy of warmth, laughter, and heartfelt stories that will echo through the hearts of those who knew him.
