Christina Marie Miller, known affectionately to her loved ones as Chris, passed away on April 5, 2025, in Lake St. Louis, Missouri, following a life filled with love, dedication, and unwavering kindness. Born on April 2, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, Chris was a beacon of compassion in her community and a treasured family member.
Chris devoted over 30 years of her professional life as a Customer Service Specialist for AT&T, formerly Southwestern Bell, beginning her career at the young age of 18. She took great pride in her work, following in the footsteps of her father, who also dedicated his life to the telephone company. Beyond her impressive career, Chris earned her Associate's Degree in Clerical Studies, an achievement that highlighted her love for learning and growing in her professional journey.
Above all, Chris’s most profound accomplishments were her beloved children, Amanda (Larry) LaRose and David (Lisa) Miller, as well as her cherished grandchildren—Jordan LaRose, Abigail Arnette-Miller, Peyton Miller, Reagan Miller, and Harley LaRose. These were the lights of her life and brought her immeasurable joy throughout her years.
Known for her caring nature, Chris had a unique ability to give everything to anyone without question, embodying a spirit of generosity that enriched the lives of all who knew her. A loving mother and grandmother, she created a strong familial bond that was felt by everyone around her. She was a confident homebody who found great happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, who were truly her everything. Her hobbies included reading and crocheting, pursuits that allowed her to express her creativity and love for craftsmanship. Moreover, she had a special fondness for animals, further showcasing her compassionate heart.
Chris is survived by her adoring family: her children, Amanda and David, her sister, Kathi Manna, and many nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness and warmth. She now joins her loving mother, Veronica "Babe" Ruhmann; her father, Earl Ruhmann, Sr.; and her brother, Earl Ruhmann, Jr., in eternal rest.
A visitation to celebrate Chris's remarkable life will be held on April 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. A graveside service will take place thereafter at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis at 1:30 PM.
Chris Miller’s legacy of love, care, and family will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of compassion, strength, and the boundless love of a devoted mother and grandmother. Her spirit will remain woven into the fabric of her family, always guiding them with warmth and comfort.
