Christine Smith, age 50, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 18, 1970 to Robert and Donna VanDyke (nee Swanson).
Christine was married to David Smith. She was a loving wife and mother. Christine enjoyed playing with Davey, her 6 year old son. They especially enjoyed building LEGOs and watching kid shows together. Christine enjoyed watching cooking shows, reading cookbooks, and listening to Meatloaf. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening when she got the chance.
Christine is survived by her husband, David Smith, Jr.; children, Davey Smith, Brooke Smith, Heather (Matt) Evans, Erin Aholt, and Emily Aholt; Grandchild, Serenity Fitzgerald; step-father, John Aholt; step-mother, Chris VanDyke; and step-sister, Bridget (Bobby) Blair. She will be greatly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert VanDyke; mother, Donna Aholt; and step-sister, Leah Tarkington.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A service will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Newcomer. Interment will be private.
