Christopher Maurice Hollenberg

This is the story of Christopher Maurice Hollenberg, 38 years-young, of O'Fallon, Missouri. Chris was a loving son, grandson, husband, father, brother, son-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.
Christopher's story started in St. Charles, MO on January 3, 1984, the oldest child to Kevin and Tammy Mays. He later became the older brother of Tina and Tiffany (Adam Crawford) Mays of Wright City, MO, and uncle to Matthew Cole Lloyd and Bella Crawford.
Chris met the love of his life, Ashley Ruble and married her on June 2, 2012. Together they have three children, Madalynn McPherson, Madison and Connor Hollenberg. With his marriage to Ashley, Chris gained a new family, fathers-in-law Cecil Ruble and Steve Isbell, Grandma Ada Ruble, brother-in-law to Carla (Brian) Cox and uncle to Reagan Smith, Zoey and Lillien Cox and Jade Lewis.
Chris is survived by everyone listed above as well as his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Sue Mays of St. Charles. Dozens of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and dear friends also survive Chris.
Chris is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maurice (Humbug) and Muriel (Babe) Hollenberg and his mother-in-law Sharan Isbell.
Chris loved his country, his Jeep, Halloween, Independence Day, his friends, but most of all, he loved his family. Chris might not have been a Pyrotechnician by trade, but he always put on the best firework displays for his family and friends. There is no doubt that when you see the Heavens light up, Chris is behind it.
Christopher's journey here on earth ended at 2:23 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, in the very hospital where his journey began. He was a fighter like no other and had so much illness in his young life. God knew his body was tired, so he was called home to be whole again. Chris is now a guardian angel to his family here below.
