Clinton "Mick" Edward Richter Jr. passed away on March 8, 2024, at the age of 72 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on October 11, 1951, to Margaret M. Richter and Clinton E. Richter Sr. Mick was preceded in death by both of his beloved parents. He is survived by three daughters, Stephanie E. Richter, Melissa L. Bounds, Kathleen "Katie" M. Richter; two sisters, Patricia "Pi" Simons, Anna "Peggy" Biondo; niece, Patricia "Jennie" Simons; four grandchildren, Jacob Rawley, Kyle Rawley, Payton Rawley, Calli Potochney; and a great-niece, Emma Burdge.
Mick's life was filled with dedication and hard work. He spent over 30 years working for General Motors, where he held various positions, culminating as the Body Shop Supervisor. Even after retiring in the early 2000s, Mick continued to work, joining Bond County Transit and utilizing his management skills to enhance the transit service. He worked at the Transit for several years until it was time for him to move on to a new chapter in his life.
A devoted volunteer, Mick spent many days at the American Farm Heritage Museum, contributing to the construction of the American Heritage Railroad. Mick also coached his grandchildren's sports teams, where he created lasting memories. Mick loved playing golf on lovely sunny days and supporting the St. Louis Cardinals with his family during baseball season. Mick was the patriarch of his family, always ready to help and care for his loved ones without hesitation.
In his personal life, Mick was married three times. From 1974 to 1981, he shared his life with Donna Lynn Stamer. Subsequently, from 1982 to 1999, he was married to Brenda Kay Isbell, and from 2000 to 2023, he was married to Patricia Anne Burche.
Mick's educational journey included attending St. Jerome Elementary School and graduating from Rosary High School in 1970. He also pursued an education at SIUE for Architecture and eventually obtained a Diesel Mechanic Degree from Rankin College.
Mick's life will be celebrated at noon on March 25, 2024, at the Holy Name of Jesus on Ashbrook Drive in St. Louis, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to noon, followed by a service and a gathering in the church's Community Center. Mick will be remembered for his love, dedication, and unwavering support for his family and community. May his legacy of hard work and devotion live on forever.
