Corinne Fossell

Corinne Fossell (née Reaper), aged 97, of Manchester, Missouri, went to be with Jesus on December 26th. She suffered a massive stroke on Christmas Eve. With the care of Angels on Duty and Hospice Care, she was able to live at her home and passed there while surrounded by her loving family.

 Born in November 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, Corinne was the beloved daughter of Harry and Minnie (née Friesmeier) Reaper. Corinne lived a life dedicated to her family, friends, and professional talents at Rose Barge Line. After retiring, she enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and for 30 plus years, bowled in a league until age 90. Corinne always found time to make special holiday cookie packages to ship to her grandchildren. She was a devoted parishioner at Christ Prince of Peace for more than 25 years. In most recent years, she was blessed to have Communion weekly in her home. Corinne’s kindness and love toward everyone will forever live in the hearts to all who knew her and loved her.

 Corinne was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Frank DeBrecht Jr.; her second husband, Edward William Fossell; her dear sister, Harriet Reaper Ostrander; and sisters-in-law and cousins.

She is survived by her loving children: daughter Janice DeBrecht Tyler and her husband Patrick, and son Kenneth DeBrecht and his wife Cindy. She was a proud grandmother to Bethany Tyler Tinderholt (Tony), Amy DeBrecht Glaspie (Paul), and Ken DeBrecht (Sarah).

Her legacy lives on through her cherished great-grandchildren: Julia Glaspie, Jack Glaspie, Emmi Grace DeBrecht, Tyler Tinderholt, and Brenan Tinderholt. Corinne also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

 Services: Visitation will be held at Newcomer’s Funeral Home, 2211 Clarkson Rd Chesterfield, MO 63017 on January 1st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at Christ Prince of Peace, 415 Weidman Rd, Manchester, MO 63011 on January 2nd at 10:00 AM.
