Craig Merton

Craig Joseph Merton, age 64, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Saint Charles, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 1, 1960 to Charles and Lorraine Merton (nee Funke). 

Craig was a caring, selfless, and dedicate family man. He took great pride in his work and cherished his family deeply. He was deeply passionate about his career at Best Buy and instilled a strong work ethic in those around him. In Craig’s earlier years, he was a part of a team called Just Dudes softball team. He found joy in watching sports, playing golf, and attending baseball games with his family. His family recently traveled to Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, to celebrate significant milestones together. This highlighted what Craig valued most: his family and friends. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, supportive father, devoted grandfather, and caring brother. 

Craig is survived by his Wife, Mary Merton; Three Daughters, Tiffany (Terry) Daniel, Maria (Zach ) Merton, Lauren (Josh) Merton; Son, Craig Merton, Jr.; Three grandchildren, Isabella Daniel, Arianna Daniel, Camilla Daniel; Sibling, Tracy (Nancy) Merton; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Charles Robert Merton; Mother, Lorraine E. Merton; Son, Anthony Merton; Three Siblings, Gerladine "Geri" (Howard) Berringer, Ronald (Carol) Krueger, Charles Merton, III. 

Mass will be Friday, August 23, 2024, at Sts. Joachim and Anne Catholic Church, 4112 McClay Rd, St Charles, MO 63304. Visitation will be 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Sts. Joachim and Anne Catholic Church.
