Craig Percell

Craig Stephen Percell (78) of St. Charles, MO passed away at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital on December 31, 2024, with his wife and his daughters by his side.

Craig was in the class of 1965 at Hazelwood High School and later attended Flo Valley College where he majored in percussion. His love for music never wavered. He was known by many in the St. Louis area as a drummer in numerous bands such as Bone Daddy and the Blues Shakers, Special Delivery and the Overnight Horns, Old Kids on the Block, Skyline, Ransom, Riff Riff, Wild Country, F-Troop, and the Chuck Clay Review where they often times back Chuck Berry.

Craig, also known as Honky Tonk by the local dump truck drivers, was employed for years by Bi-State Utilities where he worked until he retired in 2018.

Craig is survived by his wife Debbie (Hollenberg) Percell of 45 years, his daughters Jamie (Jeff) Kulow Wentzville, MO and Jessica Percell, St. Charles, MO, his sisters, Jean Shiffler, Oakville, MO, and Becky (Art) Reimler, Barnhart, MO, his grandchildren, Madeline (Abby) Hodson, Drake and Presley Kulow and Winston Lee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents Jake and Jacqueline (Cooper) Percell, St. Louis, MO, His daughter Jennifer (Percell) Hodson, grandson Thomas (TJ) Hodson, and brother-in-law Jerry Shiffler.

Visitation will be held on January 7, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions, St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376. A Funeral Ceremony will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m..
