Craig Eric Pettig, age 65, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on October 1, 1956 to Donald and Virginia Pettig (nee Liebsch).
He was united in marriage to Paula Louise Arnold on June 25, 1983 in Marion, Iowa.

Craig grew up in North St. Louis County where he graduated from Hazelwood Central. Upon graduation he attended Southwest Missouri State where he met Paula. After returning to the St. Louis area, they began building the house that they raised their boys in and live in to this day.

Craig was employed by McDonald Douglas or Boeing through most of his working years where he worked on different aircraft projects. He loved camping and going on vacations with the family. In the last several years he and Paula would enjoy camping trips with their friends and occasionally parking their camper in one of their boys' driveways.

In recent months Craig was able to share time with his beloved granddaughter Kimberly whom he so dearly adored. He would call nearly every day to check on her. Craig was weeks away from meeting his new grandson and was so very excited to share time with him.

Craig is leaves behind his wife, Paula L. Pettig of Saint Peters, MO, father, Donald (Marjorie) Pettig, son, Andrew (Jennifer) Pettig, grandson, Logan, son, George (Jeri) Pettig, granddaughter, Kimberly Pettig, sister, Rebecca Pettig, aunt, Bonnie Shear, uncle, Bruce (Mary) Liebsch, mother-in-law, Onalee Arnold, sister-in-law, Novalee (Jimmie) Coats, brother-in-law, Michael (LeAnn) Arnold, sister-in-law, Sabra (Kurt) Ehlert, along with cousins, nieces, nephews and many others considered family.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Virginia Pettig.

Craig will be so dearly missed by his family and friends. He truly knew how to make someone laugh or aggravate them. He leaves behind so many memories that will be forever cherished.

A celebration of life will be held at Grace Community Chapel, 7661 Mexico Road, St. Peters, MO on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Visitation is from 10:00am-11:00am with a service following at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund or Grace Community Chapel in remembrance of Craig Pettig
