Daniel "Pete" Claudin, age 63, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 6, 1960 to Lawrence and Lois Claudin (nee Gruelle).
Pete was the second of four children. He married Debbie Meyering on April 23rd, 1982. Together they enjoyed over 40 years of a loving and joyful marriage focused on their three boys, seven grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends.
Pete was an avid horticulturist and landscaping manager/designer. He worked for 29 years diligently managing an estate. He finished his career performing commercial landscaping with Drury Hotels.
Pete was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Ferdinand, and Incarnate Word Parishes. He attended the inaugural week-long mission trip to Nicaragua through Incarnate Word.
During his lifetime Pete enjoyed the outdoors—tending to his yard as well as others'—taking care of his dogs, driving his jeep, boating at the Lake of the Ozarks, kayaking, bowling, fishing, golfing, and drinking iced tea. He was an avid supporter of St Louis Cardinals Baseball and Blues Hockey.
He had a spirit of adventure, was kindhearted, optimistic, and promoted the love and care of all living things.
Pete is survived by his wife, Debbie Claudin; his sons, Dan (Erica) Claudin, Tim (Michelle) Claudin, and Steve (Rachel) Claudin; his grandchildren, Connie Claudin, Jane Claudin, Mark Claudin, Teddy Claudin, Monica Claudin, Natalie Claudin, and Peter Claudin; his sisters, Peggy (Malcolm) Beckemeier, and Nancy (Scott) Daniel; and his brother, Dennis Claudin. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Claudin; his mother, Lois Claudin; and his sister-in-law, Theresa Claudin.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, West County Chapel, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017. Mass will be 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Incarnate Word Parish, 13416 Olive Blvd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
