Daniel LeRoy Sturdevant, age 75, of Montgomery City, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 in Columbia, Missouri. He was born in Alton, Illinois on July 29, 1948 to Gilbert and JoAnna Sturdevant (nee Sawyer).
Daniel Sturdevant was a proud Vietnam veteran. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchild were the joy of his life. He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved classic country music and his western movies, especially with John Wayne. He loved telling stories about hunting and fishing trips he would take with his buddies. He was a very generous and kind hearted person who could make you laugh and smile. Daniel was a strong, well respected man who went to church every Sunday and gave hope to many of those around him. He loved being with family any chance he could get. He loved helping those in need and he was someone you could confide in if you were having a hard time. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed by many family members and friends.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Jenny (Gary) White, and Danielle (Richard) Brooks; his granddaughters, Kayla (Timothy) Bush, and Amber Bush; his grandsons, Gary White, Jr., and Daniel White; and his great-grandchild, Storm Brooks; He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Sturdevant; his father, Gilbert LeRoy Sturdevant; and his brother, Ronald Lee Sturdevant.
