Danny Carl Christopher "Chris" Bradbury

November 17, 1949 — April 21, 2024

Danny Carl Christopher “Chris” Bradbury, age 74, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 17, 1949 to Carl M. and Billie J. Bradbury (nee Dye).

Chris was a renaissance man - talented in art and engineering. He designed the spiral staircase at the Harry S. Truman Building in Jefferson City, drafted the blueprints for McDonnell Douglas Headquarters, created a signature blue paint color for Bigfoot monster truck, worked on the facade of the World Trade Centers, and designed a lead box to safely handle nuclear medicine. In spite of his success, however, Chris will be most remembered as a kind, loving, generous man who loved to tell stories, make people laugh and was always there to lend a helping hand. He selflessly took care of anyone in need with a meal, a kind word or a donation of his time. Chris loved classic cars, Motown Music, good food, telling stories, but most of all his family and friends.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Barbara A. Bradbury (nee Coleman); son, C. Matthew (Patricia) Bradbury, their son, Benjamin Bradbury; son, Adam W. N. (Kaprice) Bradbury, their children, Aden "AJ" and Milo Bradbury; son, C. Corey (Alexandra) Bradbury; daughter, Stephanie E. (Rhett) Clawson, their children, Izzi, Rhett Jr. and Sawyer Clawson; daughter, Livia T. (Jeffrey) Konkel, their children, Presley and Grant Konkel; sister, Melodie J. Leonard; and brothers, Rick C. L. (Karen) Bradbury, and Patrick D. Bradbury. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Carl M. Bradbury; mother, Billie J. Borreson (nee Dye); sisters, Victoria J. J. Miller, and Deborah J. Winston; paternal grandfather, Roy C. Bradbury; paternal grandmother, Mae F. Bradbury (nee Waters); maternal grandfather, Edward W. Dye; and maternal grandmother, Etta O. Dye (nee Mitchell).

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
