Danny Meyers, age 76, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on March 26, 1947 to Earl and Hazel Meyers (nee Matzenbacher).

Danny was a Machine Operator at Kraft Foods and retired in 2002. He met the love of his life, Donna as a Crosswalk Guard and knew she was the one. They both attended Corpus Christi in Jennings, Mo. where they shared many activities together which included the Drama Club. They recently Celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Danny's lifelong interests included metal detecting, shooting, archery, deer hunting, fishing and coin collecting. Many of these hobbies were shared with his grandfather and father. Lots of good times were had next to the water or in the outdoors as he passed on the things he enjoyed to his sons, nephews, nieces, and granddaughters. Favorite spots included Holiday Shores and August A. Busch Conservation Area. You could often find him fishing for trout at Bennett Springs or Lake Taneycomo, with both he and his wife in waders!

Danny volunteered with the Air Force in December of 1966. He was stationed first at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois for training. He then moved to McConnell AFB in Wichita, KS. From there he proudly served overseas at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand during the Vietnam War. His final assignment was at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine. It was there that he served with his wife and young family. He was honorably discharged and left active duty in March of 1971.

Danny is survived by his loving and devoted Wife, Donna, Daughter, Debbie L. (Michael) Koeller; Son, Paul W. (Hannah) Meyers; Two beautiful Granddaughters, Elizabeth J. Koeller, Emily M. Koeller; Two wonderful Sisters, Rosemary Main, Susan House; his nieces and nephews: Randy (Julie) Young, Jeannie (Dave) Bassett, Jeremy Williams, Patrick House; great nieces and nephews, Kayla (Daniel) Michelle (Sam), Chase, Jackson, Harmony, Hope, Hudson, Ava, Kanon, Michael and Nathan. along with other extended family, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Earl Alvin Meyers; Mother, Hazel Rosemary Meyers and Son, Douglas J. Meyers.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm until 7:00pm Monday, September 4, 2023 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral Prayer Service will take place immediately following at 7:00pm. Additional visitation will take place the following morning between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will immediately follow at 1pm.
