Darlene A. Stratman

Darlene A. Stratman, age 89, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on April 5, 1930 to Hardee and Delores Knight (nee Sharp).

Darlene was married to Bud for 69 years and 10 months. They enjoyed traveling to all 50 states, Mexico and Canada. Her greatest joy was being a grandma and great grandma. Darlene fully supported the Hallmark Corporation by purchasing cards and gifts for all occasions.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Bud Stratman; her daughters, Debra S. (Kevin) Teson, and Linda L. Ronan; her grandchildren, Jason M. Belyew, Zachary M. (Chelsea) Belyew, and Kyle S. Ronan, her great-grandchildren, Holden G. Belyew, Elyse L. Belyew, Emerson L. Belyew, Mason R. Belyew, and Hunter M. Belyew; her siblings, Lorraine Rouse, Sam (Debby) Knight, and Robert (Judy) Knight. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Hardee Hayden Knight; her mother, Delores Knight; her sisters, Shirley (Gene) Powers, Joyce (Tom) Blaylock, and Patsy (Steve) Roper; and her brother-in-law, Alvin Rouse.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 12, 2020, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral service will take place at 11:45 am on Friday, March 13, 2020. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
