David J. Halloran, age 75, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania on January 14, 1944 to Leo and Margaret Halloran (nee Wegman).
Dave was a Firefighter with the City of Ferguson for 35 years. He was raised in North St. Louis in the Baden neighborhood and attended Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and School. He graduated from Chaminade High School in 1961. He then went on to receive an Accounting degree from St. Louis University in 1968. Dave married Mary Beth Forsythe in 1964. He started his Fire Department career as a volunteer with the City of Ferguson 1966 and became a career Firefighter in 1971. Dave rose through the ranks and retired in 2006 as Assistant Chief. Many people know, Dave had a love for the railroad and was a member of the Gateway N Trak and St. Louis T Trak. He created many of his own structures and layouts while at the Fire House. Dave was active in the Ferguson Rotary Club as a past president.
David is survived by his Wife, Carol Halloran; Sons, Kevin (Melissa) Halloran, David Halloran, Jr., and Greg Halloran; Grandchildren, Brendan Halloran, Kelly Halloran, Maria Halloran, Mary Halloran, and Owen Halloran. He was a grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Leo Halloran; Mother, Margaret Halloran; and his Wife, Mary Beth "Be" Halloran.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Newcomer, St Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). A funeral ceremony will be 7:00 pm Thursday, September 19, 2019 Interment will be private.
