David Edward Kampmann

David Edward Kampmann, age 74, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. He was born in St Charles, Missouri on August 28, 1944 to Joseph and Helen Kampmann (nee Grau).
He graduated high school in 1963 and attended barber school. He married Gayle Ellen Davis on April 14, 1973 at St John Lutheran Church in Ellisville, MO.
He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in St Charles, MO and enjoyed his time serving in the Men's Club, being an Usher and helping arrange flag placement on veteran's graves at the cemetery during Veteran's Day and Memorial Day. David also enjoyed his time spent on several bowling leagues and even organizing the Greater Ozarks Open Tournament in Springfield, MO every May and being a member of the St Charles Bowling Association, horseshoe teams, woodcarvers club, VP at the St Charles HAB Center and being affiliated with the Veteran's Affairs of St Peters, MO.
David is survived by his wife, Gayle Ellen Kampmann of Saint Peters, MO, son, David Edward (Shelley) Kampmann, Jr., sister, Janet Elizabeth (Dennis) Shipman, brothers, Robert (Wendy) Kampmann, Richard Wayne (Cathy) Kampmann, four grandchildren; Tamara Meyer (Mickey), Nicholas Horton, Joshua White and Macaire Felps, and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward Kampmann and Helen Elizabeth Kampmann and his daughter Laura Jeanne Felps.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday March 17 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr St Peters, MO. Another visitation will be held Monday March 18, from 10:00am - 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church 115 S. Sixth Street St Charles, MO. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00am at the church. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Immanuel Lutheran Church Men's Club.
