David Lee "Dave" Mosley, age 63, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 2, 1957 to Dale and Grace Mosley (nee Martz).
Dave's bubbly personality lit up a room. He loved his family whole-heartedly. As a husband, father, brother in law, uncle, grandfather and friend he loved without expectation. His wife, kids, and grandchildren were the center and love of his life. He was a true friend to many. He was always the life of the party by entertaining the ones he loved with delicious food. He was the master of the Weber barbecue pit. Accommodating to everyone, he prepared what we loved whether it was barbecue, seafood or German cuisine. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed his local trout streams and fly fishing with his best bud Troy. Together, "the trout slayers". Dave's passion and love for the ocean was recently reignited after having a "temporary inconvenience" of a lower leg amputation in 2013. In the summer of 2020, he received his recertification in SCUBA diving. He was the best looking merman in our family. Anyone who knew Dave knew he always made lemonade out of the sour lemons of life. Summer days will have an empty void of the smell of hickory and barbecue sauce. He will be truly missed by all.
Dave is survived by his wife, Bea Mosley, sons, Sean (Kayla) Mosley, Jason (Lindsay) Mosley; grandchildren, Rosemarie Mosley, Gregory Mosley, Alyssa Irwin, Abby Mosley, and a soon to be grandson; brother-in-laws, Brian (Vicki Christopher) Abney, and Eric (Lisa) Abney. He is a brother, uncle and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Grace Mosley.
