David Marshall Pierce, age 80, of Valley Park, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Valley Park, MO. He was born in Decorah, Iowa on April 4, 1943 to Marshall and Irene Pierce (nee Finberg).
He was married to Diane Pierce for 56 years.
David was an avid bird watcher and was a collector of rare bird eggs. His extensive collection was recently donated to Luther College's Biology Department. He and his wife, Diane, founded Senior Dogs 4 Seniors Dog Rescue and rescued over 4300 dogs.
David is survived by his Wife, Diane Pierce; Two Daughters, Dawn (Joe) Keizer of Chesterfield, MO, Dana (Brett) Muhlke of Kirkwood, MO; Two Granddaughters, Lauren Blair, Grace Martin; Sister, Nancy (David) Neuhring; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Marshall Wade Pierce; and Mother, Irene Grace Pierce.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the National Audubon Society. David will be interred in a cremation niche at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.
