David Lynn Shough

David Lynn Shough, age 58, of Louisiana, Missouri passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 10, 1965 to Dale and Nancy Shough (nee Steinman).
David is survived by his son, Kyle (Olivia) Shough; step-son, Justin (Jessica) Evans; mother, Nancy Shough; brother, Kevin (Junnietta) Shough; niece, Sarah Shough; nephews, Jacob (Madison) and Nick (Madison) Shough; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Shough.
David Shough graduated from Wright City Highschool and graduated Associate at Truman State University. David was a skilled Hand Drafter. He owned his own businesses in the 90's designing custom billboards, graphics, and signs by hand. He would go on to teach himself to use AutoCAD, become a custom cabinet designer, then to open his own cabinet business.
His artistry and intelligence could only be missed because of David's humility. He inspired both of his children, Justin and Kyle, with, and to have, honesty and integrity that would serve them well throughout their lives. He always fostered love and laughter with those around him, even at his own expense. Despite David's trials throughout his life he always managed to find a way to make everyone laugh- whether mocking the irony of a situation, or pranking somebody using his prosthetic leg, he could bring joy to even the saddest times.
David loved hunting, fishing, and watching sports. If his leisure time was not filled with either of those things, you would probably find him in talking to his neighbors, at the river with his friends and family, chatting with his loved ones on the phone, or playing with his dog. He had several dogs he cared for, Charlie, Mocha and Jodi, just to name a few.
His life may have been shorter than some, but it certainly did not lack fullness. David will live in the loving memory of many, and his impact on those will affect generations to come.
David's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 29th at 19151 Deer Run Estates Warrenton, Missouri 63383. A service will be held at 2 pm with food and good company to follow. Please join us in celebrating his full and vibrant life.
