David Allen Shrum, age 73, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 1, 1947 to Troy and Norma Shrum (nee Dougherty).
David served in the Army, building roads in Vietnam during the war. David and his wife opened Larimore Lawnmower in Spanish Lake in 1976 until 1986. David then went to work at McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, and GKN Aerospace as a machinist. David enjoyed building stock car engines and was especially proud of the 1924 Ford Model T that he restored as a hot rod. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, and ATV riding at his property in Big Spring, Missouri. David was also a huge fan of watching NASCAR and dirt track stock car racing, he also raced in his younger years. David loved Fran, his wife of 48 years, and his children and grandchildren.
David is survived by his Wife, Fran (nee Flanagan), Brother, Barry (Christine) Shrum, Brother, Douglass (Cynthia) Shrum, Sister, Lisa (Joseph) Schilling, Daughter, Denise (Jamie Klein) Shrum, Daughter, Melissa (Matthew) Voyles, Grandson, Dylan Klein, Granddaughter, Lillian Voyles, Grandson, Evan Voyles, Aunt, Thelma Spencer, Aunt Eileen Dougherty and he will be dearly missed by a host of nephews, a niece, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Troy Allen Shrum; Mother Norma Doris Shrum; and Daughter Laura Marie Shrum.
